Vision of touch
'' Each relief is a story meant to be read with fingers. "

Vision of Touch is a unique art collection gifted to the blind by the artist Francomo. The first series of her works – rich in structures, textures, and sculpted forms – has been deliberately dedicated to those who are usually excluded from the experience of visual art.
For this project, Francomo invited women from Poland who have lost their sight. Their hands, feeling the surface of the reliefs, becomes a bridge between the world of silence and the world of images. To reveal how the perception of the world through touch evolves over time, both young and adult woman who are blind took part in this initiative. Their perspectives illustrate how sensitivity shifts with age, creating a new way of “seeing” – not with eyes, but with hands.

One of the works in the collection was intentionally created as double-sided – one side reflecting the artist’s vision, the other representing the perception of a blind participant. In this way, the artwork becomes a dialogue, a meeting point of two worlds that rarely have the chance to intersect.

Vision of Touch is not only a collection of artworks but also a gesture of openness and an invitation to experience art beyond the limits of sight. It is art that speaks through the hands.

Some of the pieces will be placed in museums for the blind around the world, while others will be donated for charity auctions to support people with visual impairments.
